Semester 3: Performance Prep (Spring Break to End of School Year)

This is an “a la carte” program for serious dancers with previous experience. A range of day time classes will be offered including:
Dancers can customize their own program to fit their needs and schedule.
This program is for the most committed of dancers. Students will attend Tuesday through Thursday and follow their own homeschool curriculum while socially interacting in a small group setting. They will have access to all the classes offered in the Enhance program as well as enrichment sessions covering subjects such as anatomy, nutrition for dancers, dance history, stage makeup, coping with performance anxiety, audition prep, career opportunities in dance etc. These engaging sessions also serve to fulfill the health, arts, counseling and career education subjects required for homeschoolers by the state of Montana. To meet all the other requirements parents should make sure the homeschool program they select includes, English language arts, mathematics, social studies and science. A minimum of 8 enrolled students required to run this program.
In order to participate families need to select a homeschool program that allows their child to work independently and on a flexible schedule. The Academy program is NOT compatible with the remote learning options being offered by SD2. Diversity will provide a space for the dancers to complete their work in a small group social setting as well as a group mentor to help keep students on track and assist where needed. Parents assume all responsibility for their child’s learning as well as record keeping and reporting.
*These programs are separate from our regular schedule and not included in the unlimited rate.
*Dancers do not have to be students at Diversity to participate and can use these programs to supplement the training they receive at their home studio (Director’s permission required) .
